The Humble Area Genealogical Society was organized in 1978. We are located north of Houston in the northeast part of Harris County, Texas bordering Montgomery County. Our neighboring communities include Atascocita, Crosby, Huffman, Kingwood, New Caney, Porter, Splendora, and Humble, Texas. We are a 501(c)(3) organization.

The purpose of THAGS: 

1. To bring together persons engaged in genealogical research. 

2. To create, foster and maintain interest among citizens of the Humble, Texas area of Harris County, in the genealogy and local history of the Humble area and Harris County; the genealogy of the founders of this Republic, and such genealogy as may be of interest to the members.
