Hopefully everyone is enjoying the slightly cooler weather. Every rainstorm puts a smile on our faces.

We hope you can join us at as many of our October events as interest you. There are lots of informational and social get-togethers to choose from.

October General Meeting, ZOOM:

Time: 7:00 PM, via ZOOM, invites will be sent out about a week before

Lunch Bunch, In-person get together

Place: Skeeters, 4121 W. Lake Houston Pkway

This is an informal lunch get-together. We do not have a room rented. Just order your lunch and come join THAGS members at a table. Looking forward to seeing you in person.

Writer's Circle, In-person help

Date: Monday, October 30, 2023

Time: 10:00 AM - Noon

Place: Kingwood Library, meeting room at the top of stairs

Have you thought about taking all those names, dates, places, and relationships that you have collected over the years, and converting them into a story your family and others can enjoy reading. Come join us at the Writer's Circle. Choose a project! In October, we will share ideas on how to organize the work.

Looking down the road..... THAGS Research trip to the Salt Lake FamilySearch Library.

Dates: March 3-10, 2024. Follows Rootstech 2024. You could do both!!

Hotel Accommodations: Plaza Hotel, next to the library.

Fee: $25 to THAGS

Participants book their room with the Plaza by mentioning they are with The Humble Area Genealogical Society which give you a special room rate. Everyone books and pays for their own travel arrangements. Karen Rasmussen will have a rental car. She is happy to take people to the grocery store as needed. There are also restaurants nearby.
